Successful completion of the UHP Culinary Nutrition Coach program prepares graduates to begin pursuing coaching, food-education, and wellness opportunities within their professional scope. The program does not qualify graduates to diagnose medical conditions, prescribe therapeutic diets, or practice as licensed dietitians or medical nutrition professionals.

No, previous professional cooking experience is not required. Students should arrive ready to participate in kitchen, greenhouse, classroom, and coaching activities.
CNC is designed as an advanced specialization for graduates with an existing foundation in personal training or health coaching. Admissions will confirm whether your UHP credential, outside certification, or professional experience meets the current entry requirements.
A culinary nutrition coach helps clients translate nutrition information into practical food habits, cooking skills, and sustainable daily choices. The coach supports education and behavior change but does not diagnose conditions or prescribe medical nutrition therapy.

No. Culinary skill is one part of the program, but CNC is fundamentally a nutrition-coaching specialization. Students learn to use food knowledge, preparation, and cooking experiences to support client education and behavior change.
The program prepares graduates to pursue culinary nutrition coaching opportunities within their professional scope. Readiness also depends on previous credentials, experience, employer requirements, and the services the graduate intends to provide.
Graduates must operate within their professional scope and applicable laws. The program does not qualify graduates to diagnose conditions, provide medical nutrition therapy, or replace licensed dietitians and healthcare professionals.
Yes. Housing, meals, laundry service, tools, materials, and program ingredients are provided during the 19-day campus experience.
GI Bill® benefits are not currently available for CNC. Other funding options may include scholarships or self-pay, depending on the student and current cohort. Admissions will confirm the options that apply.
